This machine searches, locks on to and tracks Satellites.  It also models the orbit of the satellite after having acquired and stored a number of coordinates and keeps on tracking even if the beacon is lost.  It takes the analog input from  the beacon receiver and sends steering commands to the motors.  A number of operational parameters can be entered through the front panel by selecting the appropriate mode and holding down the increase/decrease buttons.  The built-in speech synthesizer gives feedback about the values.
